Our client, a regional provider of fine foods, has an immediate need for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor, to join their winning team in Englewood.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for leading the maintenance team to achieve smooth operation of equipment and machinery. You will be hands-on and committed to working with, and managing a small team overseeing the upkeep and optimization of our bakery equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and problem-solving skills who will collaborate and engage with department heads to support optimal and uninterrupted production.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance: Support and improve our preventive maintenance program to enhance equipment longevity and assure uninterrupted bakery production, using outside contractors as necessary
Team oversight: Actively manage the maintenance operations, focusing on efficacy and efficiency in both routine maintenance and emergencies
Maintain an organized supply of tools and spare parts, and work area.
Technical skills and expertise: Use tools, experience and resources to maintain and troubleshoot both routine and complex issues
Leadership and Oversight: Direct the team to adhere to a preventive maintenance schedule, promoting organization, skill development and good work habits, while responding to maintenance issues promptly and effectively
Collaborative engagement: Work closely with all department heads to support bakery objectives including smooth operating and limited downtime. Willingness to perform other tasks as needed throughout the bakery.



KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Leadership: Proven ability to effectively lead, mentor and train a team of technicians of varying levels of skill and experience
Hands-on Maintenance Experience: Demonstrate extensive knowledge in managing maintenance operations for a manufacturing facility including but not limited to burners, motors, refrigeration, plumbing and gas, gearboxes, hydraulics, pumps, sprockets, conveyors and electrical components.
Diagnostic and Repair Skills: Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery, with an emphasis on strategic maintenance and minimal production disruption.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. Familiarity with computerized diagnostic and management tools.
Physical requirements: Must have the ability to stand, climb, lift, and work in hot and cold environments, often for extended periods.
Background and Professional Experience: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience. At least 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or food production environment.
