Job Description:

Supervises meat team members and ensures smooth department operations. Oversees and maintains meat displays. Provides courteous and efficient service to customers and team members. Performs duties in accordance with store Standard Operating Procedures.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and delegates tasks to meat team members
  • Trains team members to build a high-performance team
  • Resolves customer situations
  • Maintains break logs and ensures sanitation
  • Directs team members to satisfy customer needs
  • Selects, trains, and develops team members
  • Communicates and models company vision and goalsRequired Skills:
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Knowledge of meat team procedures and policies
    • Ability to communicate product information to customers
    • Interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills
    • Product knowledge and regulatory awareness
    • Mathematical skills for financial management and inventory
    • Decision-making, leadership, and prioritization skillsPhysical Requirements:
      • Lifts up to 50 pounds
      • Stands/walks 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
      • Uses hands for grasping, manipulation, and pushing/pulling
      • Works in a wet and cold environment
      • Handles knives and cutting equipment
      • Uses tools and equipment, including box cutters and heavy machinery
