Job Description Job Description Restaurant Assistant General Manager Job Summary The Restaurant Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving team performance. This role helps lead front-of-house and back-of-house teams, manage scheduling and staffing, maintain operational standards, and assist in achieving financial and service goals in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing all daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house coordination Support hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of service and support staff Maintain high service standards and ensure consistent execution across all dining areas Partner with the General Manager on labor management, payroll, and operational cost control Supervise dining room operations during peak service times and special events Address guest concerns professionally and promptly to ensure satisfaction Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and vendor coordination Monitor operational reports and KPIs, helping to implement improvements as needed Act as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the General Manager Qualifications 3 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience, preferably in an upscale or full-service dining environment Strong leadership and team development skills Excellent communication, organization, and guest-relations abilities Knowledge of labor management, scheduling, and cost control practices Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Skills Experience with private events, banquet operations, or high-volume service Strong floor presence and service recovery skills Detail-oriented with a focus on professionalism and consistency Ability to balance operational demands with personalized guest service How to Apply Qualified candidates who are passionate about hospitality leadership and delivering elevated service experiences are encouraged to apply.
