Job Description:

Vice President, Reporting Technology (OMI Management U.S. Limited Partnership dba OMI LP, Englewood Cliffs, NJ): Proactively drive the vision for ONEX BI and Data Lake/Warehousing across a product vertical and define and execute a plan to achieve that vision; Build a high-quality BI and Data Warehousing team and design the team to scale; Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of data engineers and analysts; Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team; Data Strategy and Architecture: Develop and implement data architecture strategies to support the organization's data needs; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions; Data Pipeline Management: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage of structured and unstructured data; Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, consistency, and availability in collaboration with engineering and operations teams; Report Development and Visualization: Lead the design and development of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders; Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency; Define the processes needed to achieve operational excellence in all areas, including project management and system reliability; Define and manage SLAs for all data sets and processes running in production. Must have experience with the following to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Deep understanding of data management principles, data modeling techniques, and ETL processes; Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java; Experience in analyzing data using database query language (e.g. SQL) analysis and programming and developer tools such as Python, R, or Databricks; Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js; Experience collaborating effectively across teams and influencing decision-making; Experience using Git to manage source code and Artifactory to publish; Demonstrated experience with Statistical and Quantitative analysis; Experience with use of Bloomberg datasets and services; Prior modeling building and programming experience; Experience identifying issues and raise flags when needed and keeping team members informed of ongoing risk or fraud related activities. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related field, and at least three years of experience as a Data Analyst, Engineer, and Architect or related occupation.
